Skin in the Game: The One Problem You Can't Ignore (Teaser)

Debbie Go Season 2 Episode 1

"You have a million problems until you have a health problem. Then, you only have one."

In the race to build the future, Web3 founders and tech leaders are often the first to break—not just systems, but themselves. What’s the real cost of the "move fast and break things" culture?

On the latest episode of #SkinInTheGameWithDebbieGo, I sit down with Oscar Sundman and Ciara Nicole, co-founders of Vita Veda. We go beyond burnout clichés to discuss how they’re bridging Eastern philosophy with Western innovation to create a sustainable blueprint for leadership.

The highlight reel:
Break the "stop-start" cycle and reclaim sustained creative momentum.
Use breathwork and yoga as performance tools—far beyond self-care.
Build holistic leadership as your true competitive advantage.

Leadership isn't just about what you build; it's about who you become while building it.

🗓 The full conversation drops Monday, Jan 5, 2026.

Debbie:
[0:00] What's the real hidden cost of burnout, especially for tech founders who are expected to move fast and break things?

Oscar:
[0:07] You have a million problems until you have a health problem. Then you only have one problem. And I think most people overlook that when you are healthy and working and you have 10,000 things you need to take care of. But then when you actually run into the wall, you realize, oh my God, this beautiful vessel that I was given, I have misused, I have abused. And now I find myself not working properly anymore.

Oscar:
[0:31] So that will go out over your relationship, definitely over your work. So for you as a person and a human being, I think the costs are beyond any price tag you could ever imagine.

Ciara:
[0:43] I think the biggest ROI is, can you actually show up to do your job effectively? Because if you can't, none of the other metrics matter because you can't be there and you can't form and you can't execute. The biggest misconception is that it's fluff or that it's a nice-to-have but it's not a need to have.

Ciara:
[1:01] But I don't think health is a nice-to-have. It's absolutely critical.
